Creating Better Product information with Blue Raven
The Create a Product feature in Blue Raven is designed to help you quickly and consistently generate WooCommerce product content that matches your brand’s tone, structure, and intent. Instead of starting from scratch every time, Blue Raven leverages the information you provide during the Brand Options setup to ensure your products follow a consistent voice and layout — which is vital for brand trust and shopper confidence.
Step 1: Configure Your Brand Options (Brandability)
Before you can create products, you’ll be guided through a one-time setup process called Brand Options — we call this Brandability. This step ensures that every product you generate maintains a consistent style and message aligned with your brand identity.
Brandability Fields Explained
Below are the fields you'll be asked to fill out. This information forms the basis of how Blue Raven writes your product descriptions:
-
About Your Brand
Share your brand’s story, mission, or unique context. -

Note: Once you’ve completed the Brand Options setup, there’s no need to reconfigure it unless your brand changes. All future product generations will inherit this voice and structure automatically.
Step 2: Describe your New Product
With your Brandability profile set, you're ready to create products:
Add your Description
When creating a new product in Blue Raven, the Description field is where you tell us what makes your product special. Include details about what the product does, its key features, benefits, and anything that helps it stand out—like free shipping, hassle-free returns, or standout materials. What problems does it solve? Why would someone choose this over another option? You don’t need to write an essay, but the more specific and accurate your input, the better the generated results will be. Even if you start with a short summary, we’ll do our best to expand and optimize it for you.
That said, it’s always important to double-check what’s generated. Blue Raven gives you the tools to streamline product creation and enhance your site, but your insight and oversight are essential. Great websites and strong businesses don’t happen by accident they’re built through thoughtful input, time, and attention to detail. We’re here to help you move faster and smarter, but you’re still a key part of the magic.

Step 3: Manage Products in “My Products”
Once your product is generated, head over to the My Products tab. This is where you complete the final setup:
-
Upload and assign product images
-
Set SKUs and manage stock
-
Define shipping options and product types
-
Assign attributes
-
Blue Raven automatically handles schema markup and SEO metadata
The My Products tab functions like a simplified WooCommerce product editor — designed to make life easier without sacrificing flexibility.
Understanding Feathers: Your Creative Credits in Blue Raven
Blue Raven uses a credit system called Feathers to power its generative features — including product creation, regeneration, and (coming soon) advanced tools like image optimisation and meta creation.
How Feathers Work
-
1,000 Feathers are included with the entry-level Blue Raven subscription.
-
On average, 1 product creation uses around 20 feathers, meaning your included pack can generate roughly 50 products.
-
If you choose to regenerate a product (e.g. tweak the copy, change the tone, or improve the description), additional feathers will be used depending on the complexity of the generation. Manual edits and tweaks do not use feathers.
-
Your remaining feather balance is always visible inside your Blue Raven dashboard.
Feather efficiency tip: The more detailed your initial product input, the fewer regenerations you'll need — helping you stretch your feathers further.
Need More Feathers?
You can easily top up with Feather Packs at any time — perfect if you're launching new product lines or want to test multiple content variations.
We offer flexible options:
-
Once-off top-up packs (no subscription required)
-
Scalable plans for high-volume stores
Coming Soon: More Feather-Powered Tools
Feathers don’t just stop at product descriptions. We're building additional AI-powered tools that will also use your feather balance, including:
-
Auto Alt Text Generation for images
-
Site-wide Meta Description Creation for pages and posts
-
Image Optimisation for faster loading and better SEO
Want to plan ahead? Consider upgrading your subscription or grabbing a Feather Pack to be ready for upcoming features.
